Kia ora, I’m Casey.

I love my role as a support person to Educators, Whanau, Tamariki and the rest of our team. As a Visiting Teacher I have the privilege to work alongside our tamariki to observe and encourage their learning and development.

Since completing my Bachelor of ECE at the University of Waikato in 2012 I have been fortunate to explore different teaching philosophies of teaching stemming from theorists such as Montessori, Magna Gerber and Emmi Pickler.

I grew up on dairy farms around Southland before re-locating to the Waikato in my teens. In 2020 I moved back to Invercargill to enjoy the wonderful lifestyle and enroll my son into school.

I am passionate about children experiencing a safe, warm and comfortable environment to explore and learn about their world. I enjoy supporting Tamariki and scaffolding their learning, growth and development. It is important a child knows they have support as they grow and develop into confident, capable and independent learners.
