Kia ora my name is Sophie.

I live in Invercargill with my family; my husband, two young children and our dog Ellie.

I have grown up in Southland and lived and studied in Auckland too. I am happy to be bringing up my own children in my hometown here in Southland. I enjoy my role as a visiting teacher for Just Four Kids, I have spent the last five years gaining experience in the homebased sector.

I have a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and have been working in the early childhood sector for fifteen years. I have previously worked in a wide range of early childhood settings and appreciate the value that homebased education brings to our Southland Community.

I have guided and supported many educators and teachers within the Early Childhood sector, in leadership and mentoring roles. I strongly value homebased childcare, offering a homely and unique childcare setting in the educator’s own home. I work closely with your educator to provide a rich learning environment which is specific to your Tamariki and their interests.

My teaching philosophy is to build strong, reciprocal relationships with your Tamariki, that they develop into confident and competent, young learners.
